The Deep Technology, Gurugram based startup, Flixstock which is a category-defining firm dedicated to fashion image technology, announced in a release that it has hoisted $2.5 million through a funding round that was led by the early-stage venture capital firm Wavemaker Partners. The round also included participation by Singapore based VC firm, Seeds Capital as well as venture fund firm Leo Capital

As reported by Times of India these hoisted funds will assist Flixstock in setting up its own Generative AI research centre in Singapore and also in exploring the prospects of expanding their presence in the US.

Established by the IIT Kanpur graduate, Harindar Keer, Flixstock aims at resolving the obstacles relating to designing and usage of fashion images in online retail. Artificial Intelligence is applied by the firm with the purpose of automating the selection of photography for products.  Through the use of Deep Learning algorithms, the firm can develop website friendly model images and at the same time negate the necessity for elaborate commercial photoshoots.

As emphasised by Keer, the founder and CEO of Flixstock, the firm’s technology enables its products to be prepared and made available for its customers in a span of hours rather than taking an entire day. He also added that the firm facilitates a range of solutions for assisting its retailers to develop large scale images at significantly lesser costs.

In the span of two years, Flixstock has bolstered its global presence by setting up seven offices and offering its services to over 60 major retailers on a global scale. Apart from the US and India, the firm is also carrying out its operations in Singapore, France, and Germany.
