Deloitte acquires Sentek Global and Transient X title banner

Deloitte is a multinational company that provides audit, consulting, tax and advisory services to world’s topmost brands. Deloitte is a part of Big Four league and like its counterparts has established a brand name in more than 150 countries.  Deloitte has acquired Sentek Global and Transient X to increase the efficacy of cybersecurity. 

 

Deloitte was hit by a cyberattack in September 2017. Post attack clients' secret emails were made public on the dark web. Since then Deloitte has laid special emphasis on tightening its cybersecurity measures. Sentek Global provides technology services to the US government. 

 

Deloitte has made 49 acquisitions so far. Companies like CloudQuest, TWG, FocusIT, Hashedin are under Deloitte's diverse portfolio. To expand its business in different industries Deloitte has made 6 investments in different companies namely i6 Group, tomato pay, SendFriend, SETL, Roundarch and Data Channel. 

 

Laying a major emphasis on cybersecurity, Sentek Global provides Cyber Security inspections, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, security operation centre management and network defense protocols. This acquisition will enable Deloitte to increase its presence in San Diego. 

 

After getting Deloitte’s brand name Sentek Global will primarily focus on assisting government clients for tackling complex system engineering and cybersecurity challenges. Partnership will facilitate Sentek’s growth in defense, security and justice sector organisations.

Transient X

 

Transient X’s acquisition will offer several  advantages to Deloiite’s service delivery system. This will expand Deloitte’s reach in the zero trust security market. Based in New Jersey, Transient X interlinks local devices to servers using isolated networks. Transient X business will open new paradigms for Deloitte. Deloitte’s clients will also get flexible security practices. 

 

According to Venture Beat Deborah Golden, risk and financial advisory cyber and strategic risk leader and principal at Deloitte, said “Our cyber practice acquisition strategy … is squarely focused on hyper-scaling to support our own services and solutions delivery.Acquiring TransientX’s business will help Deloitte truly differentiate how it delivers to the market by infusing [new] capabilities into a broad portfolio of products and services.”
