New Delhi based 17 years old Aryan Gulati, the class XII student, has become the youngest patron in providing a model to fight against coronavirus. He designed the model, named LungAI, which is a web-based application which he submitted for the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Ideathon competition. After that, AryanGulati has been reward by the Union Ministry of HRD.

 

Ministry has awarded five winners in which Aryan Gulati is the youngest award winner. His application is outstanding in the category of a sustainable environment. He is the student of Delhi Public School, RK Puram, Delhi. 

 

Gulati is in the process of having words with the Indian Council of Medical Research(ICMR) in order to substantiate his application with additional testing ahead.

 

Moving ahead with his application, the testing will be conducted at the laboratory as well as hospitals. Gulati said, “ This is due to the fact that the application doesn’t demand particular labs or equipment, just we require a person who makes use of a computer and X-ray images to upload.


Gulati has been working on the project since March. To obtain the final AI model, he deployed authentic data available over the internet for free. For COVID data, he approached to John Hopkins in the United States and various radiology communities.
