The Electric Vehicle maker Tesla Inc is in conversations with the industries branch of the Karnataka government to develop a center in Bengaluru for utilizing the huge research and development (R&D) environment in the state.

As reported by the Economic Times, as per an anonymous report from the office authorities, the primary proposition is to set up an R&D center and two rounds of conversations have already been initiated.

This step would get one of the greatest worldwide electric vehicle creators to Karnataka and would enhance the state's reputation with a prominent investor like Tesla establishing its presence in a city which already holds the reputation of an R&D center for various industries like biotechnology, aviation as well as IT.

Bengaluru is the center for various more big R&D hubs, which incorporate General Electric's initial and biggest worldwide lab as well as around 400 others.

These discussions to develop an R&D centre have emerged around a year after Tesla's head Elon Musk declared his aim to have a presence in the Indian nation.

The official also further stated that the chief of Tesla in India, as well as Karnataka’s industries commissioner, are relied upon to meet again later on in the present month.

As reported by Mint, Karnataka has steadily been pursuing fresh investments to set a flame to the rookie economy which was recently hindered owing to the lockdown amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and has even developed a task force to seek organizations on the lookout to relocate from China post the pandemic.
